Jason's recent phone conversation:
Me: "I need some electrical work done in my house."
Guy on phone: "We don't have anybody who can come until Monday." Me: "Well, when would be a good time for him to come on Monday? My address is..."
Guy: "Wait, you just need to call us back on Monday. If you tell us now, we will forget."
HAHAHA (I accidentally laughed before I hung up the phone!)

One of Jacob's friends has spent hours at our home since we returned. He lost his father two months ago and seems to really enjoy spending time with our family.

Future Electrical Engineer: Elijah is very very proud of taking apart a fuse all by himself.

Jacob spent most of the time climbing, but his soccer ball was never far from his grasp.

In addition to climbing, Elijah LOVED exploring and discovering all kinds of interesting things--like a piece of "pottery", an unidentified pine cone sort of thing, and a rock "that is from inside of a volcano." (according to Elijah)

During our family time this morning, we visited a huge, wooded park 15-20 mins from our apt--and discovered this awesome climbing tower!

We are not completely without AC now! When we arrived, living room and mbr AC units were full of mold although we had paid the AC service guys to come clean them out. Mold allergies + moldy AC unit = not using the AC. Finally today, the service guys came and really did clean them well (it appears)--so thankful for my assertive yet polite husband! : ) And I'm also very thankful for a little relief from the heat & humidity! Yay!

Jazz Festival--Jason insisted that we take a break from all the work to have some fun family time and I'm so glad he did! We had a blast listening to live music, including this New Orleans brass band, and watching the boys dance. At one point Elijah asked to go to the open space near the stage and dance--he and Jacob drew quite a crowd!
